Metamorphosis

This is my first piece in the theme of metamorphosis, as it is 'the change of form or nature; a transformation,' I thought it would be quite fitting for the assigned challenge!

I used Adobe Photoshop to create this, it consists of 2 photographs taken by myself - the guitar and branch of a blossom tree (which I mirrored opposite each other)
Each photo was filtered/retouched and manipulated appropriately to get the desired effect. The contrast between the 2 images further portrays the unity as they come together.

Besides photomanipulation, music is one of my strongest passions, to me it is like second nature. It is a major part of my world. I chose the blossom tree, which to me is symbolic of nature and regeneration, to morph as one with the guitar - representing the idea of a natural 'oneness' with music, and the way it changed my world and renewed a new creative unity within the soul.
